What Is a PDF Merger?
A PDF merger (also called a PDF combiner or PDF joiner) is a tool that takes two or more separate PDF files and packages their pages into a single PDF document. Instead of sending somebody ten attachments, you can hand them one file that opens in the right order from page 1 to the final page. The merged PDF keeps the original page order, layout, fonts, images and vector graphics exactly as they were — nothing is retyped or rasterized, so quality is preserved byte-for-byte.

How Does PDF Merging Work?
PDF merging copies every page from each source document into a brand-new PDF container, in the exact order you choose. The pages themselves — text, fonts, embedded images, annotations, form fields — are preserved bit-for-bit. Nothing is rerendered or repaginated. The output is a standard PDF that opens in any reader (Adobe Acrobat, Chrome, Preview, Edge and more).
Because the merging happens locally in your browser, there is no upload step, no server queue, and nothing is stored after the tab closes. Large files are held as ArrayBuffer in memory until you click Download or Start Over, after which the memory is released.
Can I Change the Order of PDF Files?
Yes. After you drop or upload your PDFs, every file appears as an order number (01, 02, 03 …) on a draggable card. You can either drag a card with your mouse to a new position, or use the ↑ / ↓ buttons on each card (touch-friendly and keyboard-friendly). The final PDF is built using the on-screen order exactly.
Is PDF Merging Safe?
