About Sigify's Image Resizer
Sigify's Image Resizer is a 100% browser-based tool that uses the HTML5 Canvas API to decode, redraw and re-encode images at any pixel size you specify. There is no upload, no server, no account, and no watermark. Drop your images onto the page, type a new width and height (or use a social-media preset), and download the resized output as individual files or a single ZIP archive.
The aspect-ratio lock keeps proportions intact whenever you adjust one dimension. Scale chips give you instant 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 100%, 150% and 200% scaling. Quality presets let you trade file size against perceived sharpness; the custom slider takes you to any value from 10% to 100%. The Convert-to panel re-encodes output to JPG, PNG, WebP, or keeps the file's original format.

Why Resize Images
Original photos from a smartphone are typically 4,000 to 8,000 pixels wide — much larger than any blog, social-media timeline or email can usefully use. Sending those originals slows pages, fills bandwidth, and burns storage. The right target size depends on the destination: 1080 px for Instagram, 1200 px for hero banners, 600 px for thumbnails, 1600 px for full-width desktop hero shots. Sigify makes it effortless to drop a full-resolution photo into the browser, choose a target, and ship a small, fast-loading image.
Recommended Settings
For blog / article photos: 1200 px wide, JPG quality 80%. For social feeds: use the social-media presets. For thumbnails: 600 px, quality 75%. For retina hero banners: 2560 px, JPG quality 85%.
