How the conversion works
When you add PNG files, Sigify reads each one as a File, decodes it with createImageBitmap (falling back to an <img>), paints the bitmap onto an off-screen <canvas> against your chosen background, then calls canvas.toBlob('image/jpeg', quality) to produce a real JPG Blob. The Blob is wrapped in an Object URL so you can preview and download it with a single click. Filenames are preserved automatically, with the extension safely switched from .png to .jpg.
PNG vs JPG
PNG keeps every pixel intact and stores a true alpha channel; JPG discards subtle high-frequency detail to shrink file size and has no transparency at all. If you need a clean, lossless container or transparency, stay on PNG. If you need a smaller file for a photo-like image and you can tolerate a flat background, JPG wins on size.
